1. Introduction
- Service Name: Renderize
- Business Entity: Renderize is operated by Corentin Thomasset, a French entrepreneur.
- Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of France.
2. Description of Services
Renderize provides an API to convert HTML documents into PDF files. Future updates may include support for additional file formats. Users interact with the platform via:
- A REST API
- SDKs for popular programming languages (currently JavaScript)
3. Account Creation
- Users must create an account to access the service. Account registration requires an email address.
- Authentication is via magic links sent to the registered email or through SSO providers (e.g., Google, GitHub).
- Paid-tier users must provide billing information, processed securely by Stripe. Renderize does not store payment details.
4. Pricing and Payments
- Plans: Renderize offers free and paid subscription tiers. Payments are billed monthly or annually, with no hidden fees or lock-in.
- Usage Limits:
- Free Tier: Up to 500 documents/month with a rate limit of 30 requests/minute.
- Starter Tier: Up to 5,000 documents/month with a rate limit of 120 requests/minute.
- Enterprise Tier: Up to 15,000 documents/month with a rate limit of 120 requests/minute.
- Users exceeding usage limits will be notified and can choose to upgrade or wait until the next billing cycle.
- Refund Policy: Refunds are provided only under conditions required by French law.
- Cancellations: Users may cancel their subscriptions at any time.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
Users agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Uploading illegal, copyrighted, or harmful content.
- Engaging in hacking, reverse engineering, or attempting to bypass service restrictions.
- Conducting fraudulent activities or deploying malicious bots.
- Performing denial-of-service attacks or similar abusive behaviors.
Renderize reserves the right to temporarily suspend accounts in cases of suspected misuse or abuse.
6. Intellectual Property
- Users retain ownership of the content they upload. Renderize does not claim any ownership over user content.
- Modifications to Renderize’s API documentation for internal use are permitted, but redistributing or reselling documentation is prohibited.
- Use of the Renderize branding is not allowed without prior written permission.
7. Data Privacy and Handling
- Renderize does not store user data. All uploaded data is processed in-memory and discarded after rendering.
- Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Notifications are sent via Resend. Support is provided through Chatwoot, and analytics are conducted using Plausible.
- Renderize complies with GDPR and does not use cookies, track users, or share data with third parties.
8. Liability and Disclaimers
- Renderize is not responsible for the content uploaded by users or issues arising from the rendered documents.
- Renderize’s liability is capped at the total amount paid by the user in the last 12 months. Renderize is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the service complies with applicable laws.
9. Termination
- Renderize may terminate accounts for:
- Violating these Terms.
- Engaging in illegal activities.
- Non-payment for paid subscriptions.
- Abusing the platform or causing harm to other users.
- Users may delete their accounts at any time. Renderize will delete all associated data within 30 days of account deletion.
- Upon termination, users lose access to the platform and associated data.
10. Dispute Resolution
- Renderize will attempt to resolve disputes amicably. If resolution is not possible, disputes will be handled in the French courts located near Lyon.
- Users will bear the costs of dispute resolution.
11. Changes to Terms
- Renderize may update these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
- Continued use of the platform after changes to the Terms indicates acceptance of the updated Terms. Users may cancel their accounts if they do not agree with the changes.
12. Support and Service Availability
- Support is provided via chat:
- Free Tier: 24-hour response time.
- Paid Tiers: 12-hour response time.
- In case of important demands, response time may vary.
- Renderize does not guarantee uptime but strives to provide reliable service.
13. Miscellaneous
- Renderize reserves the right to suspend or terminate services temporarily in cases of maintenance, abuse, or legal compliance.
- Future integrations with third-party platforms will be optional and subject to separate terms.
